Okay so I missed a couple days...woops!
Well let's see...nothing really to update on but I started my internship on Monday :) I'm having so much fun! All of the people in the office are so amazing and nice. I love it! I couldn't find a better place to be if I tried! I'm learning so much and I'm really getting a grasp on moving my way around the office and everything. I'm now going to start putting together something to be presented at all the centers now too! *eek*
On a much excited note....Saturday is John and my 5 months!! I can't believe it's only been 5 months...so amazing :) Even more exciting than that is the Valentine's Day festivities ahead of me!!! This is the first time I'll actually have someone to celebrate with OUTSIDE my family! *sigh* I'm so excited. The only thing he's telling me about is that we're doing the DC Dinner Cruise that evening and that he's added some extra "surprises" that he refuses to tell me about ;) Truth be told? I actually love all the surprises...and when he tells me "you are going to be such a princess that night" I just get filled with warm fuzzies all over ^_^ No worries....there will be PLENTY of pictures to come! ;)
well I haven't been feeling well in the last 24 hours or so and I've decided I'm going to catch some z's before John comes over after work :)
Night everyone!

It's been one of those days....
Okay so it hasn't exactly been the best day in the world but I've managed. The day started early with trying to get my internship stuff in line and it's looking like I may be creating more work for myself and causing a full on panic -_- I'm really just hoping that everything works out the way I really need it to. I'm sick of always being home doing homework so it'll be nice to have an excuse to be out of the house doing something I love for a change for a few hours a day.
I'm going to take a moment here to kind of brag and put the boyfriend on a pedestal because....well....because I can :)
This man seriously is so perfect for me it's sick sometimes. He's the one thing that seems to keep me grounded when I feel like life is crumbling around me. He always seems to know what I need to hear when I need to hear it the most. He is by far one of the most supportive people in my life right now and don't know if I would've made it this far without him. Today I've had a few things throw some gears in the mix and he's been here to reassure me that things are going to be ok and be that one thing in my life that always goes right.....Thank you John Dillon for being the most amazing boyfriend on the planet. I'd be lost without you...

On second thought....maybe not
Sooooo.....today was a fairly long day as usual. However, it was really nice waking up to a text from John :) hehehe....
So this whole "online class" thing? Really starting to get old. And even moreso is this whole "Editor in Chief" thing. Okay so I'm really excited don't get me wrong. But it's proving to be way more work than I ever anticipated. I'm very rapidly beginning to feel overwhelmed and weighed down by the whole thing to be honest. It's more responsibility and expectations than I had originally imagined. Granted it will be a challenge and I'm willing to look that challenge right in the face....but on the other hand I'm wondering just how much my brain can take at this point.
Other than that today was pretty good. Got the most adorably cute texts from my favorite guy in the world which made my day :) then Kim came over and we got our first Chick-fil-A fix since we've been home (Laura you got me thinking about it from your post for today lol) and we hung out a little. It felt like old times when we were roomies, again. I miss those days....it's like I neglected to put that into the equation when I thought about graduation. No more late night talks or cram study sessions. No more just going over to the room next to mine....now it's a whole 20 or so minute drive away.....it totally sucks :( At least we're in the same state/area.
Well that's all for one night......Night everyone!

Brace yourself . . .
Woooooow....Almost a year since I've updated?! That's just pathetic...oh dear. Well this will be my best attempt and trying to rectify that. :)
Let's see...well? I came home from Winter semester and had some rather interesting experiences. I was only home for 7 weeks in the Summer and took little excursions with Kim and met some interesting (and some not so worthy of mentioning) guys in the process of being home. However....I am now with the most amazing man I've ever met in my life :) John Dillon and I have been together for almost 5 months now (whoa...holy crap) and it's been the best 5 months of my life! I'm guessing you all are going to beg for "the story" soooooo.....here goes:
Well we met on one of those random dating sites (thank you Krista for the suggestion! lol) and he sought me out on this site. We talked for a few days through the site but then quickly moved on to talking on AIM. We clicked from the very start. However, the day I was planning to leave for Idaho was rapidly approaching. So...I took a very brave (and unexpected to myself) step to arrange a first date. Dinner and a movie....not normally the cliche date I would have planned out for myself but it served its purpose to say the least :) This first date last 12 hours....that's right people....1/2 a day! We talked literally the whole time. We laugh about it now and wonder how nobody was throwing popcorn at us that night hahaha. So that first night we completely clicked better than I ever could've imagined we would. My parents were crazy about him from the start (he came over beforehand just to introduce himself...talk about leaving a good first impression!) So we talked all day the next day and I "implied" that I wanted to hang out after he was done with work that night. He came over, we watched a movie and then what happened next was like it was right out of the cheasiest of chick flicks.....I turned to him and the following conversation followed:
Me: "Sooo....I have kind of a crazy question"
John: "Okaaaayy....?"
Me: "So when I leave for school in a few days....do I consider myself single?...or taken?"
He seemed to be caught off guard and had to think about it a minute....then he turned to me with the biggest grin on his face:
John: "You're taken" and proceeded to give me a kiss....it was so cute!! ^_^
So...the next couple days were spent together as much as possible. He was even at my house while I was packing (literally the night before I had to leave...secretly I think I kept hoping I wasn't really going to leave...I mean come on! I finally had a good legitimate reason to not leave this time!!). At which point he randomly turns to me in the middle of me packing and panicking about leaving this great guy thousands of miles away and says "so...you wanna see me in October or November?"...I stopped dead. "say WHAT?!" So yeah he came all the way out to little podunk Idaho the first weekend in November (because it was our 2 months hehe) to see me! It was the most amazing weekend ever...it was the weekend we said "I love you" for the very first time :) After that there were nightly phone calls, daily texts, Skype "movie dates" and random packages/surprises to keep the distance from tearing us down. Even towards the end when both my computer and my cell phone died, we kept in constant contact through e-mails and periodic phone calls when I could borrow Kim and Vickie's phones to call him. He then came out for my graduation with my family! He's been so amazing through everything and I honestly don't see how I could've made it through that fall semester without him and Kim. Since then he has been around every day since we've been home. My parents, sister, and extended family are just crazy about him :) For once I'm happier than I've ever been in my life and it seems to me that this one is finally going to stick ;) He treats me like a princess and would go to the moon and back for me if I asked him to. Here's what he did for our 4 months:

So that's about it on that in a nutshell...soon to come are the pictures from the revamping of my room done by my "Mr. Fixit" ;)
Everything else is pretty slow and fast going. I have 3 online English classes I'm balancing (I just got word that I've been named one of 3 Editors in Chief for one of my classes!! I'm so excited!!) and I will be soon starting my internship. I know what you're thinking..."but I thought you said you graduated!"...yes, I know. I walked for graduation back in December so I could do my internship and online classes at home. It meant I didn't have to go back to Idaho so for all intensive purposes.....I'm done! :) I will be partying it up to celebrate within the next few weeks so keep your eyes open for all of those festivities.
I will be working my tail off with classes, internship, family, John, and of course hanging out with the rest of my favorite people :) but I will be making sure to make time to update much more often.
<3 you all!!

Better Late Than Never?
Wow. Apparently I'm going with the whole "update once a month" goal haha.
Well now that midterms are over and I've registered for next semester's classes I can maybe breathe....maybe. ;) My teachers on the other hand feel it necessary to pile on the work one thing after another without realizing we do in fact have other classes we're worrying about. *humph* Go figure. The last 10 days or so alone have caused me the most stress. A group 12 page research paper I've been working on with 2 other people only one of which seems to be carrying their weight which makes it infuriating for me and the other group member. So come 1:00am or so Monday night (after registering for classes....I'll get to that fiasco in just a minute) that paper was finally done. I had worked on it throughout the day from 5am until 1am the next morning. Talk about mental exhaustion! Unfortunately I'm not done....I got to class Monday morning to find out we now have a 6 minute/12 slide presentation to have done for our section of the paper that was done. Shoot me now!! All of that was just for one class! I had the paper to worry about, a whole powerpoint presentation to worry about now, teaching for our parent class for my Parent Education class tomorrow, and then my online class assignments now to deal with. All before Friday ever rolls around. Get me outta here!!!! *sigh*
Okay now for my whole class registration fiasco. So Monday night I stay up until the very stroke of midnight with stickies on my computer laying out just what classes to take and when. Okay so I'm feeling pretty prepared. Until I try to add a certain class I had planned. *ugh* Now what?! So I ended up spending the next hour trying to get my schedule to work to my advantage which just seems like it will never happen. So then when I realize that I have a class I need to take that I simply can't I get flustered and just take something else in its place. I get to my English class this morning only to realize that not only are there still places left in this class but it let me add the class!! :) Yay!! Now I start looking around at the classes I will need to be taking in my final semesters and something stops me dead in my tracks.....a class I need to take I'm being told by my adviser (who has been my hero this semester!) that the class I need is "discouraged" from being taken at the same time as another class I was planning to take. I freeze. I start breathing heavily. What do I do now?! So I frantically print out my graduation plan/transcript and I start furiously highlighting and crossing out the classes/requirements I've taken/met and I'm planning out what I need to do to make this work. I go to class and come home to find an e-mail from my adviser......he already asked the teacher of the class I needed and I now have permission to take it in the fall with the other class I need!!!! I am now feeling totally relieved and charging full speed ahead for graduation in December....FINALLY!!!! ^_^
Now that all of the school updates are done....I would like to take a moment to say just how amused I am that HOME got tons of snow and out here in podunk town we have been having wonderful weather all week!! :) It looks as though nearly half the snow is GONE!!! *knock on wood* I haven't needed to wear a heavy jacket or anything to class and such which has been marvelous!!
Well now that I've spent a good amount of my time home from class instead of doing homework I should head out and get a good dent of it out of the way ;)
Love you all!!
p.s. 18 days until my birthday which means 17 days until Mom comes and 17 days until the release of Twilight on DVD!!!!!!

wow o_O how time flies!!
wow...it's been quite a while since i've updated o_O life at school is just way more crazy than i was willing to admit! lol
so classes are going okay for the moment I guess. I have the same teacher for two different but similar classes (FAML 220: Parenting, CHILD 330: Parent Education) which has caused for some rather frustrating obstacles. Even more frustrating is that the teacher literally refuses to give out study guides for his tests and expects everyone to get the same overall message out of all of our readings. >.< so we'll soon see how well i did on this past test which will then determine how i attack the class for the rest of the semester. joy. *rolls eyes*
my roommates are AMAZING!!! we attempted to get free grand slams the morning after the Super Bowl and well.....we went home with our stomachs full of McDonald's $1 Menu items lol. the line was just TOO insanely long and Kim had to be back for an 8am class so needless to say.....we didn't get our free Grand Slams :( but it was an adventure to say the least!! ^_^
so i originally was going to go down to UT this weekend but too many things are going on school-wise and everything for me to be able to so i'm staying in good ol' Rexburg on "Singles Awareness Day"....*ugh* -_- but on the plus side Sheka is here in ID for a week!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! :D i specifically told her we WILL be doing something on V-Day or i'm going to kill someone....i hate being in Rexburg on V-Day. *blech* gag me...
all in all life is going ok and I'm hangin' in there for now....i can't wait for March 21 to roll around so Mommy can come!!!! :D i'm so ready to party!!! holy cow...i'm going to be 23....that's just weird o_O
luv you all!!! <3
p.s. here's some WAAAAY overdue pictures of my room at my apartment. the pictures of the rest of the apartment will come soon and I may actually make it a walk-through video instead...haven't really decided
view from the bed....

view from the closet...sort of....basically the opposite side from the closet...its' not that big of a room lol

the closet corner....the closet doesn't have a door so i had to improvise ;)

the view when you walk in the door...
