Okay so I missed a couple days...woops!
Well let's see...nothing really to update on but I started my internship on Monday :) I'm having so much fun! All of the people in the office are so amazing and nice. I love it! I couldn't find a better place to be if I tried! I'm learning so much and I'm really getting a grasp on moving my way around the office and everything. I'm now going to start putting together something to be presented at all the centers now too! *eek*
On a much excited note....Saturday is John and my 5 months!! I can't believe it's only been 5 months...so amazing :) Even more exciting than that is the Valentine's Day festivities ahead of me!!! This is the first time I'll actually have someone to celebrate with OUTSIDE my family! *sigh* I'm so excited. The only thing he's telling me about is that we're doing the DC Dinner Cruise that evening and that he's added some extra "surprises" that he refuses to tell me about ;) Truth be told? I actually love all the surprises...and when he tells me "you are going to be such a princess that night" I just get filled with warm fuzzies all over ^_^ No worries....there will be PLENTY of pictures to come! ;)
well I haven't been feeling well in the last 24 hours or so and I've decided I'm going to catch some z's before John comes over after work :)
Night everyone!

It's been one of those days....
Okay so it hasn't exactly been the best day in the world but I've managed. The day started early with trying to get my internship stuff in line and it's looking like I may be creating more work for myself and causing a full on panic -_- I'm really just hoping that everything works out the way I really need it to. I'm sick of always being home doing homework so it'll be nice to have an excuse to be out of the house doing something I love for a change for a few hours a day.
I'm going to take a moment here to kind of brag and put the boyfriend on a pedestal because....well....because I can :)
This man seriously is so perfect for me it's sick sometimes. He's the one thing that seems to keep me grounded when I feel like life is crumbling around me. He always seems to know what I need to hear when I need to hear it the most. He is by far one of the most supportive people in my life right now and don't know if I would've made it this far without him. Today I've had a few things throw some gears in the mix and he's been here to reassure me that things are going to be ok and be that one thing in my life that always goes right.....Thank you John Dillon for being the most amazing boyfriend on the planet. I'd be lost without you...

On second thought....maybe not
Sooooo.....today was a fairly long day as usual. However, it was really nice waking up to a text from John :) hehehe....
So this whole "online class" thing? Really starting to get old. And even moreso is this whole "Editor in Chief" thing. Okay so I'm really excited don't get me wrong. But it's proving to be way more work than I ever anticipated. I'm very rapidly beginning to feel overwhelmed and weighed down by the whole thing to be honest. It's more responsibility and expectations than I had originally imagined. Granted it will be a challenge and I'm willing to look that challenge right in the face....but on the other hand I'm wondering just how much my brain can take at this point.
Other than that today was pretty good. Got the most adorably cute texts from my favorite guy in the world which made my day :) then Kim came over and we got our first Chick-fil-A fix since we've been home (Laura you got me thinking about it from your post for today lol) and we hung out a little. It felt like old times when we were roomies, again. I miss those days....it's like I neglected to put that into the equation when I thought about graduation. No more late night talks or cram study sessions. No more just going over to the room next to mine....now it's a whole 20 or so minute drive away.....it totally sucks :( At least we're in the same state/area.
Well that's all for one night......Night everyone!

Brace yourself . . .
Woooooow....Almost a year since I've updated?! That's just pathetic...oh dear. Well this will be my best attempt and trying to rectify that. :)
Let's see...well? I came home from Winter semester and had some rather interesting experiences. I was only home for 7 weeks in the Summer and took little excursions with Kim and met some interesting (and some not so worthy of mentioning) guys in the process of being home. However....I am now with the most amazing man I've ever met in my life :) John Dillon and I have been together for almost 5 months now (whoa...holy crap) and it's been the best 5 months of my life! I'm guessing you all are going to beg for "the story" soooooo.....here goes:
Well we met on one of those random dating sites (thank you Krista for the suggestion! lol) and he sought me out on this site. We talked for a few days through the site but then quickly moved on to talking on AIM. We clicked from the very start. However, the day I was planning to leave for Idaho was rapidly approaching. So...I took a very brave (and unexpected to myself) step to arrange a first date. Dinner and a movie....not normally the cliche date I would have planned out for myself but it served its purpose to say the least :) This first date last 12 hours....that's right people....1/2 a day! We talked literally the whole time. We laugh about it now and wonder how nobody was throwing popcorn at us that night hahaha. So that first night we completely clicked better than I ever could've imagined we would. My parents were crazy about him from the start (he came over beforehand just to introduce himself...talk about leaving a good first impression!) So we talked all day the next day and I "implied" that I wanted to hang out after he was done with work that night. He came over, we watched a movie and then what happened next was like it was right out of the cheasiest of chick flicks.....I turned to him and the following conversation followed:
Me: "Sooo....I have kind of a crazy question"
John: "Okaaaayy....?"
Me: "So when I leave for school in a few days....do I consider myself single?...or taken?"
He seemed to be caught off guard and had to think about it a minute....then he turned to me with the biggest grin on his face:
John: "You're taken" and proceeded to give me a kiss....it was so cute!! ^_^
So...the next couple days were spent together as much as possible. He was even at my house while I was packing (literally the night before I had to leave...secretly I think I kept hoping I wasn't really going to leave...I mean come on! I finally had a good legitimate reason to not leave this time!!). At which point he randomly turns to me in the middle of me packing and panicking about leaving this great guy thousands of miles away and says "so...you wanna see me in October or November?"...I stopped dead. "say WHAT?!" So yeah he came all the way out to little podunk Idaho the first weekend in November (because it was our 2 months hehe) to see me! It was the most amazing weekend ever...it was the weekend we said "I love you" for the very first time :) After that there were nightly phone calls, daily texts, Skype "movie dates" and random packages/surprises to keep the distance from tearing us down. Even towards the end when both my computer and my cell phone died, we kept in constant contact through e-mails and periodic phone calls when I could borrow Kim and Vickie's phones to call him. He then came out for my graduation with my family! He's been so amazing through everything and I honestly don't see how I could've made it through that fall semester without him and Kim. Since then he has been around every day since we've been home. My parents, sister, and extended family are just crazy about him :) For once I'm happier than I've ever been in my life and it seems to me that this one is finally going to stick ;) He treats me like a princess and would go to the moon and back for me if I asked him to. Here's what he did for our 4 months:

So that's about it on that in a nutshell...soon to come are the pictures from the revamping of my room done by my "Mr. Fixit" ;)
Everything else is pretty slow and fast going. I have 3 online English classes I'm balancing (I just got word that I've been named one of 3 Editors in Chief for one of my classes!! I'm so excited!!) and I will be soon starting my internship. I know what you're thinking..."but I thought you said you graduated!"...yes, I know. I walked for graduation back in December so I could do my internship and online classes at home. It meant I didn't have to go back to Idaho so for all intensive purposes.....I'm done! :) I will be partying it up to celebrate within the next few weeks so keep your eyes open for all of those festivities.
I will be working my tail off with classes, internship, family, John, and of course hanging out with the rest of my favorite people :) but I will be making sure to make time to update much more often.
<3 you all!!

Better Late Than Never?
Wow. Apparently I'm going with the whole "update once a month" goal haha.
Well now that midterms are over and I've registered for next semester's classes I can maybe breathe....maybe. ;) My teachers on the other hand feel it necessary to pile on the work one thing after another without realizing we do in fact have other classes we're worrying about. *humph* Go figure. The last 10 days or so alone have caused me the most stress. A group 12 page research paper I've been working on with 2 other people only one of which seems to be carrying their weight which makes it infuriating for me and the other group member. So come 1:00am or so Monday night (after registering for classes....I'll get to that fiasco in just a minute) that paper was finally done. I had worked on it throughout the day from 5am until 1am the next morning. Talk about mental exhaustion! Unfortunately I'm not done....I got to class Monday morning to find out we now have a 6 minute/12 slide presentation to have done for our section of the paper that was done. Shoot me now!! All of that was just for one class! I had the paper to worry about, a whole powerpoint presentation to worry about now, teaching for our parent class for my Parent Education class tomorrow, and then my online class assignments now to deal with. All before Friday ever rolls around. Get me outta here!!!! *sigh*
Okay now for my whole class registration fiasco. So Monday night I stay up until the very stroke of midnight with stickies on my computer laying out just what classes to take and when. Okay so I'm feeling pretty prepared. Until I try to add a certain class I had planned. *ugh* Now what?! So I ended up spending the next hour trying to get my schedule to work to my advantage which just seems like it will never happen. So then when I realize that I have a class I need to take that I simply can't I get flustered and just take something else in its place. I get to my English class this morning only to realize that not only are there still places left in this class but it let me add the class!! :) Yay!! Now I start looking around at the classes I will need to be taking in my final semesters and something stops me dead in my tracks.....a class I need to take I'm being told by my adviser (who has been my hero this semester!) that the class I need is "discouraged" from being taken at the same time as another class I was planning to take. I freeze. I start breathing heavily. What do I do now?! So I frantically print out my graduation plan/transcript and I start furiously highlighting and crossing out the classes/requirements I've taken/met and I'm planning out what I need to do to make this work. I go to class and come home to find an e-mail from my adviser......he already asked the teacher of the class I needed and I now have permission to take it in the fall with the other class I need!!!! I am now feeling totally relieved and charging full speed ahead for graduation in December....FINALLY!!!! ^_^
Now that all of the school updates are done....I would like to take a moment to say just how amused I am that HOME got tons of snow and out here in podunk town we have been having wonderful weather all week!! :) It looks as though nearly half the snow is GONE!!! *knock on wood* I haven't needed to wear a heavy jacket or anything to class and such which has been marvelous!!
Well now that I've spent a good amount of my time home from class instead of doing homework I should head out and get a good dent of it out of the way ;)
Love you all!!
p.s. 18 days until my birthday which means 17 days until Mom comes and 17 days until the release of Twilight on DVD!!!!!!

wow o_O how time flies!!
wow...it's been quite a while since i've updated o_O life at school is just way more crazy than i was willing to admit! lol
so classes are going okay for the moment I guess. I have the same teacher for two different but similar classes (FAML 220: Parenting, CHILD 330: Parent Education) which has caused for some rather frustrating obstacles. Even more frustrating is that the teacher literally refuses to give out study guides for his tests and expects everyone to get the same overall message out of all of our readings. >.< so we'll soon see how well i did on this past test which will then determine how i attack the class for the rest of the semester. joy. *rolls eyes*
my roommates are AMAZING!!! we attempted to get free grand slams the morning after the Super Bowl and well.....we went home with our stomachs full of McDonald's $1 Menu items lol. the line was just TOO insanely long and Kim had to be back for an 8am class so needless to say.....we didn't get our free Grand Slams :( but it was an adventure to say the least!! ^_^
so i originally was going to go down to UT this weekend but too many things are going on school-wise and everything for me to be able to so i'm staying in good ol' Rexburg on "Singles Awareness Day"....*ugh* -_- but on the plus side Sheka is here in ID for a week!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! :D i specifically told her we WILL be doing something on V-Day or i'm going to kill someone....i hate being in Rexburg on V-Day. *blech* gag me...
all in all life is going ok and I'm hangin' in there for now....i can't wait for March 21 to roll around so Mommy can come!!!! :D i'm so ready to party!!! holy cow...i'm going to be 23....that's just weird o_O
luv you all!!! <3
p.s. here's some WAAAAY overdue pictures of my room at my apartment. the pictures of the rest of the apartment will come soon and I may actually make it a walk-through video instead...haven't really decided
view from the bed....

view from the closet...sort of....basically the opposite side from the closet...its' not that big of a room lol

the closet corner....the closet doesn't have a door so i had to improvise ;)

the view when you walk in the door...

busy, busy, BUSY!!! o_O
so sorry everyone for being so behind on my blogging...the start of a new semester has been quite a whirlwind to say the least!
so the first full day we were here i essentially got food poisoning (i'll never be able to think of chicken fingers the same *blech*). that was AWFUL. i spent the first two days in bed. i haven't felt that miserable in a looooooong time. i felt like a little kid again...all i wanted was my Mommy!! :( (and i called her too...sorry Mom for the incomprehensible sobbing lol)
after that though everything was goin' a-ok....until i went to my adviser and found out i was retaking a class when i didn't need to. oops! books cost me about $370-something which was quite a blow and i actually forgot to mention that our new apartment was a total WRECK when we showed up. i was sick so that left Kim and our new roommate Beka to spend 5 hours essentially "white-glove"ing the whole apartment (don't worry....they got paid! lol).
so once i started classes things were going ok...until i became more than acutely aware that i needed a new charger cord for my computer. i swear computers just hate me and commit suicide in some way or another...i'll never understand it -_-
so now we're in a groove (wow...all of a sudden the "Peter Panda" song from The Pacifier popped into my head after saying that.....weird) and my new roomies are just plain awesome!! ^_^ we all get along REALLY well. YES!!!
i will post pictures/a video of my new apartment once i get my new Twilight posters!!! ^_^ (i've seen the movie 5 times now....obsessed? maybe. i AM reading the series all over again which reminds me.....Mom you better finish the book before you come out here in a couple months so get crackin'!!! ^_^ haha)
<3 you all and miss you!!!

First entry of 2009
well everyone...this is it. i leave tomorrow. the first step into my senior year. whoa. it's really here. it's so weird. everything is suddenly moving so fast and yet it hasn't even started yet.
so i'm blatantly avoiding packing. maybe it'll just go away or i'll wake up and everything will have been packed and my room cleaned mysteriously by the miraculous packing/cleaning fairies!! :D
........
ok it was a long shot...so sue me. lol
well this whole "the boyfriend is in Tennessee until the day after i leave" thing really sucks. but thank heavens for facebook and cell phones!! :)
alright i guess packing or sleeping is calling my name...well both actually but i haven't quite decided which one i'm really going to respond to....hmmmmm.....such a dilemma!

6 full days and counting...
hey there everyone and a belated Merry Christmas :)
so now that Christmas is over and done it's time to get crackin'...lots of packing ahead and plenty of gift cards to spend and some to save so i'm not having to spend a fortune on shipping things out to Idaho.
this Christmas seems to have come and gone at an alarming speed and i'm a little worried that this next year is going to go by WAY too fast. before i know it next december will be approaching which means.....DUN DUN DUUUNNNN........graduation. wHoA.
well i hope everyone's Christmas was wonderful and filled with joy :)

oh happy day! :)
ok so this is gonna be short n sweet cuz well...it's late and i have to get up in the morning to look for something i didn't feel like looking for tonight. lol. so i started talking to a guy tonight and wow. he's proof that all guys really aren't the same and here i was wondering if they all really were the same. go figure! :) so anyway...i'm just blogging about it because for once i have something positive to blog about guy-wise instead of injuries or just ranting lol. who knows what if anything will come of it but i'm just taking it one simple day at a time.....the best only way, yes? :)
night all!
and happy Sunday! :)

it was nothing a night out with the girls couldn't cure :)
so i'm doing a LOT better. thanks to Lasheka and Kim i got my mind completely cleared of everything going on and i'm taking things one day at a time. we went out to Cheeburger Cheeburger (mmmmm yummy!) and then went back to Kim's and hung out with Brittany then watched Prison Break and played Disney Trivial Pursuit and i dominated! :D hahaha. all of this to say that yeah things are rough right now but really? things will slowly get better...i just have to be patient and kinda float along with all the bumps, twists, and turns. and now i'm happy to present the most recent set of family pictures for the year :) (Laura we're definitely interested in using your services when i come home for that week in the spring).....enjoy! :)

this is not for the faint in heart.....simply ranting
i wish i could just completely spill my guts on this thing but because i'll never know who's eyes will rest on this i have to be careful what i say.....although i've been clearly shown that i have few people i can trust as it is whether it's written or not.
it's killing me that someone i felt i could always trust turns around and makes life just that much more difficult to deal with. i can't contain all the emotion inside me. i've never felt this way before. betrayal is so new to me. especially when it's within family. i can't stand it. i feel like screaming out and just ripping my body apart in hopes that this feeling will go away. days like today make me that much more excited to leave for Idaho. Idaho is my escape. i can be myself and not have to worry about anyone else but me. just me. sound selfish? well....maybe. but right now? that's what i need. i need a way to focus on me and only me. everything else will just have to fall where it may. i can't spend more time worrying about making everyone happy or trying to confide in people to only have a big knife stabbed in my back.
i'm sorry for being such a downer but the emotions i've gone through in the last week have been immense and uncontrollable it seems. i just needed an out....unfortunately there's so much more going on but i couldn't possibly BEGIN to go into it. if you're really curious give me a call or shoot me an e-mail. i'd be more than happy to explain......
i hope everyone's day is wonderful

"Houston we've got a problem"
so i haven't updated in a while....sorry about that. we were without internet for almost 2 weeks which makes updating rather difficult lol.
so let's see....nothing really to update on. we're quickly coming close to needing to work into high gear since i'll be leaving for school again soon (about 27 more days!!!) and we've got Christmas and New Year's coming up which means my house will be once again run by a million people running through my house.
My last day of work is quickly approaching...YAY! Now normally I wouldn't be this excited about my last day of work approaching so soon because I love the people I work with but this month we had an added......um......complication i guess? Now I will have it be known that I have no problem whatsoever with working with people or giving jobs to people who are mentally handicapped but in a business where you're working with children they need to be able-bodied enough to be a full-fledged working staff member, yes? So we got a new staff member recently who fits this description. She's fine to be around as a person but it has caused somewhat of a wrench in our gears, if you will, because we honestly didn't necessarily need any more staff members for starters but they sent her our way anyway. The unfortunate thing is that we're in a position where we're kind of well.....kind of "stuck" with her is the best way to put it. She really should have been put under a 2-interview process but wasn't and so basically if she's not at our center working for Bar-T she'll be out of the company. It's a very frustrating, stressful situation and I'm kind of glad I'll be leaving it. It sounds horrible I know but had the situation been handled the way it SHOULD have been? It wouldn't be so bad. :/ *shrug*
so anywho....as far as everything else goes life is ok for the time being. I'm a little tired of always being asked about my love life and what not but that kinda comes with the territory of being almost 23, not married, not dating anyone and a good portion of my friends around me off and getting married and having kids.....

it's Election Day....have YOU voted today?
wow. what a day.
so the day started off ok enough. went and voted. my mom and i actually got in and out of there in a matter of 10 maybe 15 minutes. pretty painless.
then i went to work.
so first of all i find it completely ridiculous that we were open today when technically we weren't allowed to be in the building in the first place since it was a polling location. *rolls eyes* don't ask. so we had a fieldtrip today to Old Country Buffet AND Regal in Germantown to see High School Musical 3: Senior Year (which, i might add, was pretty good : ) surprisingly). so needless to say it was a lllllooooonnnnngggg day. especially for my poor ankle that seems to be rather worn out and in pain. all in all it was a rather productive day.
Prison Break was AMAZING last night. it totally blew me away. i'm really sad Bellick died : ( but to be honest, as horrible as it may sound, i'm glad it was him and not someone is in the main cast. i'm serious. if Michael dies i refuse to watch it anymore. period.
well tomorrow is a big day since i still need to pack for Vegas. so to bed i go...very willingly i might add ;)
to close the day i leave you with a couple breathtaking views from my family vacation (including with my best friend Kim) to Florida this summer:

p.s. i leave for Vegas tomorrow!!! i can't wait! :D

ok so I know I said I would update this thing on a regular basis but life always gets in the way. what can i say?
So today was my first day back with the banged up foot and DANG it was the longest day of my life. *phew* so I'm not on crutches anymore which I can honestly say my arms are thanking me for. But my foot is still amazingly swollen and just for kicks (haha no pun originally intended but I liked it so it's staying) I'm inserting pictures so those of weak stomachs.....BE WARNED!!! (the 2nd picture is the worst to be honest)

i apologize that this is all i have to post but it's also getting late and i have to vote in the morning!! : )

HaPpY HaLLoWeEn!
Hey everyone! Well it's been a few days because I had some internet issues. Joy.
So I managed to start my Halloween off with a BANG....sort of. I had a date and went to The Haunted Forest. Everything was going fine until...dun dun DUN!.....The Chainsaw Gang. We had one guy chasing from behind, I ran up behind Kim and another guy came in front. I was terrified, Kim started backing up and so did I and I stepped back, lost my footing and twisted my foot, then miscalculated the length of the stairs, my foot bent into the stairs and BOOM....fell back on my butt. I definitely felt something happen to my ankle when I fell and I was NOT getting up. Ben came behind me immediately trying to get me up and putting pressure on my foot was excruciating. I've never been in so much pain in my life. My date was so good about the whole thing and of course my best friends (that means you too Brooke!) were amazing as always : ) So I got my left ankle wrapped up by the EMT on duty (side note: the splint he gave me? the nurse in the ER was impressed with it's quality haha) and made a direct drive to Shady Grove where my Mom was waiting to meet us so she could take the reins. The hospital "says" it's a really bad sprain and gave me crutches. HA! It definitely doesn't feel like a sprain. Vicadin is my new best friend.
